Hilton Head, SC has tons of great courses….especially Harbortown. Go play PInehurst or there are some great places in Georiga as well.

Try the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama…lot of golf, varied layouts, not too expensive. Will need to rent a car though.

the virginia beach/chesapeake bay area has some really nice courses that you can play. If you go to Marylands or Virginias website, I think they have info available on where you can get group rates or packages for playing the courses.

I live on a golf vacation…San Diego Ca has a ton of courses that dont cost an arm and a leg. Even Torrey Pines is a muni course. Hook up with someone in the military before you come and play one of the military courses here. Want expensive? La Costa, Averia, The farms…………Just off the top of my head I can think of 11 golf courses within 10 minutes of my house.

2 places to try if you like a combination of golf + ocean:
      1. Destin, FL - really nice courses, outstanding beaches, great restaurants.
      2. Gulf Shores, AL / Orange Beach AL - Again, excellent golf. beaches not quite like Destin but they’ll do.

Mesquite, NV. It is a small town about 90 miles north of Vegas. It has four of the nicest golf courses you have ever seen.If you go in the fall the weather is perfect. The town is small but it has all of the amenities that you need, including really nice hotels and women, if your single, or even if your not!

      Here is a good site:

I’m leaving the cold midwest in 2 weeks for San Diego. Went online and booked teetimes. THe whole trip is set. Lots of courses to choose from and pretty good prices. Last year we went to Vegas. Same deal. Plenty of real nice courses. And of course it’s VEGAS. Before that was Marco Island Florida. Some really good courses there, but you are better off to go after March. All the snowbirds go home and the prices come way down.

    11. Pit Says:

try the golf course koolua in oahu. and you can stay at the hilton oahu.

      :> peace
