Can I Cut My Hair After A Texturizer to Shorten the Length?

Hey. I got a texturizer on Sept. 14th and I had to dismiss my barber of over 3 years due to lack of him being able to stick to his schedule and do my hair when he said that he could. So this led to me trying several other barbers to do my hair while I’m rocking a texturizer. I am picky as heck about my hair and get it cut twice a week but am tired of others not being able to cut it like I’m use to. I just got a texturizer on Sept. 14 (Thursday) and I now want to go back to wearing my low fade because it’s easier to get a barber not to screw that up. If my hair is still curley but some new growth is coming in. Can I drop 1 1/2 inches off my hair and rock a 1′2 inch top that will lay down so I can get my regular wave pattern back? Help a brother out I have a golf vacation on Oct. 6th in Palm Springs and can’t be half stepping. Should I keep the texturizer and reapply it before October 6th or will I be able to re-rock my natural low fade and have my old wave pattern that will lay down??

The only real way to know is to cut it and see. It should lay down in your natural wave pattern, and look just fine. If it doesn’t, reapply the texturizer, and go to a salon that has experience with what you are looking for. It isn’t a difficult look to achieve, you shouldn’t have trouble finding a reputable stylist to rock your hair! Good luck~

Go ahead and get your hair cut. Then you can see what you are working with.
