Golf Vacation USA

My three buddies and I are looking for a good place to go on a golf vacation. The plan is to golf in the morning at a nice but not necessarily top tier golf course (the allowance of beer coolers is a MUST). Evenings to be filled with night life at a bar, lounge, club, or any combination of the mentioned, pass out, rise in the morning and repeat for “X” amount of days.

We spent four days in Port St Lucie FL where we played at the PGA Club. Very nice course and a good time for golf… ZERO night life in St Lucie (unless you count the bowling alley attached Duffy’s). The night life is key here as I know we can go anywhere for good golf — but a good combination of golf and post-golf extra curricular activities is a must.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I want to purchase, as a Christmas gift, a golf-oriented vacation for two relatives (husband/wife). However, I have three concerns:

-They live in Wilmington, Delaware (I don’t want them driving 8 hrs to get to this place!)

-It needs to be available, I can’t be spending $200/night for a weekend vacation

-It has to have something equally enjoyable for a non-golfer, since the wife of the couple does not enjoy golf so much

I’m looking to schedule the vacation for sometime in the spring or summer. realize this is a lot to ask, but help!

My family (4 adults & 3 kids- ages 15, 11, 11) plan on taking a trip to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina at the end of June. We’re renting a beach house, but we hardly know anything about the area!

I would like to hear some feedback about the area.
-Is there a lot to do? Like miniature golf and shopping?
-Is there a lot of restaurants near by?
-Would this make a fun AND relaxing family vacation?
